Senators Visiting Migrant Processing Facility Forced To Leave & Then This Happened

Donald Trump literally had no trouble ripping children out of the arms of mothers who came to legally seek asylum in the U.S.A. Indeed, he demeaned a group of people as “animals,” as a way of dehumanizing them. Before World War II, people feared the knock on the door that carried them away to secret prisons. That is happening right here, right now.

Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) personally went to investigate, saying “children should never be ripped from their families.” That is when the situation deteriorated. He was turned away from the secret detention centers.

When he asked for a supervisor, the prison called the police. Merkley reported:

‘I was barred entry. Asked repeatedly to speak to a supervisor—he finally came out and said he can’t tell us anything. Police were called on us. Children should never be ripped from their families & held in secretive detention centers. RT if you agree this is WRONG.’

Even worse, the senator was not the only one turned away. The secret holding center also turned Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) away, and he was furious, saying “Sec. (Homeland Security) Nielsen owes us “answers:”

‘This is outrageous. Sec. Nielsen owes us answers. My team was also barred from touring a migrant processing facility where families are being separated. When the elected representatives of the people can’t observe how our government is operating, we’re in an upside down world.’

The Twitter world was appalled. Check out some more of our favorite tweets below:
