Muhammad Ali’s Lawyer Just Responded To Trump’s Pardon Announcement Like A Boss

Donald Trump is a colossal moron. This is evident almost daily. From asinine tweets, to weird, seemingly drug-fueled on-camera interviews, the president is a ticking time-bomb. His mouth will certainly end up sealing his fate as president, but until then, we get priceless gems like the one we got Friday morning when the president said he was thinking of pardoning late boxer, Muhammad Ali.

The issue with that is that Ali’s conviction for draft dodging was overturned by the Supreme Court in 1971.

So, Trump just announced he is thinking of pardoning someone with no convictions.

Thankfully, there are no pressing issues in the United States that Trump should be worrying about more. According to him, polls, jobs, economy, stock market, etc. are all better than they have been in decades.

Only..they’re not.

Now, Muhammad Ali’s former lawyer has released a statement that makes the president look like a giant moron.

Ron Tweel said this in a statement to CBS affliciate WLKY:

“We appreciate President Trump’s sentiment, but a pardon is unnecessary. The U.S. Supreme Court overturned the conviction of Muhammad Ali in a unanimous decision in 1971. There is no conviction from which a pardon is needed.”

The response to the tweet was overwhelming. Check out the best reactions from Twitter followers below:
