Considering his supporters call anyone who is offended by the things Trump says “snowflakes,” Trump sure likes to whine about how offended he is by jokes made at his expense. He’s attacked both Jimmy Kimmel and Alec Baldwin on social media and spends endless amounts of time whining about how unfair everyone is to him.
Yes, we have a president who accuses senators of being drunk on social media now.
The controversy began when Sen. Mark Warmer made an off-hand joke about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the 2016 Trump presidential campaign. Warner was at Martha’s Vineyard at a dinner for his donors when POLITICO reports that he said:
‘If you get me one more glass of wine, I’ll tell you stuff only Bob Mueller and I know. If you think you’ve seen wild stuff so far, buckle up. It’s going to be a wild couple of months.’

It’s pretty clear that the comment was a joke, but no slight goes unranted-about in Trump’s White House. To answer Trump’s question, the last we checked, jokes are still legal.
This is sure to cause another round of conspiracy theories from the Trump administration and can be added to the list along with tapped wires and deep state spies infiltrating Trump’s campaign. It isn’t as if an offhand joke made by people Trump wants to target being implausible would stop him from turning it into more proof of the conspiracy against him. He’s done it plenty of times before.
Twitter was not impressed by Trump’s rant nor convinced that Warner’s comments were anything more than a joke. See some of their responses below:
