Donald Trump does not have a clue about the complexity of the immigration problems facing the U.S. His administration just won an immigration/visa case at the Supreme Court, so he has become even more full of himself than before. Meeting with Republican senators, Trump asked Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) something about road gravel, then he jumped to immigration and said “It’s so simple.” Really?
People can get whiplash trying to follow the president’s random thoughts. White House reporter for Bloomberg News, Jennifer Jacobs. tweeted about that meeting:
‘In meeting with Trump are Lisa Murkowski, Lamar Alexander, Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins, Steve Daines, Scott Taylor, Rodney Frelinghuysen & others, mostly appropriations sub-committee chairs. Trump was just asking Murkowski “about some gravel road in Alaska,” per
@justinsink.’
Then Jacobs pointed out POTUS’ loud simple Simon immigration policy, “YOU CAN’T COME IN.”
‘TRUMP says U.S. immigration policy should simply be: “YOU CAN’T COME IN.”
He just told members of Congress that the US immigration policy right now is a “hodgepodge of laws.”
“It’s so simple. It’s called, “I’m sorry you can’t come in.”‘
The king of bumper sticker comments just said that he did not want any judges involved in his own immigration fiasco on the U.S.’s southern border. Within hours, he flipped 180 degrees and said that the Supreme Court was “the final word:’
‘Asked if he’ll go ahead with the travel ban, Trump told reporters in the Cabinet Room just now: “Of course.” The Supreme Court is the “final word,” he said.’
Immigration is not a simple matter. What Trump seems to forget was that he has been dealing with human lives, or maybe he simply does not care.
