Donald Trump is the living embodiment of being able to dish it out but not take it. He spent his campaign and now most of his presidency tweeting derisive nicknames and spreading lies about his political opponents, called for his supporters to beat up protesters and told them he would pay the legal bills, and bristles over ever negative statement made about him.
Now, he’s upset that members of his administration are being forced to confront the outrage Americans have over separating children from their parents and locking them in cages. He expects sympathy and civility for his people while they support child abuse and racism. Meanwhile, he continues to call people names and swear to lock people up because he doesn’t like them and wants to spread conspiracy theories.
Now he wants to stamp his feet and whine about how unfairly he’s being treated.
His temper tantrums do little more than prove just how incompetent he is to run the country. If he expects to never be criticized and for his administrators to never face voters, he’s in for a long and hard surprise. The man who rose to political fame by going on tours to lie to his racist fanbase about President Obama’s birth certificate being fake will have to learn being a Twitter bully means that people will push back and that traumatizing children will never be okay with the more sane portion of Americans.
