Monday afternoon, the White House announced possible plans to revoke the security clearance of people like James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey, simply out of spite after they gave quotes in which they expressed concern over the president’s buddy/buddy relationship with dictator Vladimir Putin.
According to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders today:
“They’ve politicized and in some cases monetized their public service and security clearances. Making baseless accusations of improper contact with Russia, or begin influenced by Russia against the president is extremely inappropriate and the fact that people with security clearances are making these baseless charges provides inappropriate legitimacy to accusations with zero evidence.”
Now, James Clapper has taken to CNN to respond to the White House announcement, saying:
James Clapper on CNN: "I don't get the briefings. I don't have access to classified info … Haven't had a case to use it and has no bearing whatsoever on my regard or lack thereof for President Trump or what he's doing … I think this is just a very, very petty thing to do."

Trump targeted Clapper specifically because of his statements regarding Trump and Russia.
The responses to clapper’s “petty” jab were off the wall, and we saved the best ones for you below:
