Wait a minute. Did Donald Trump just change his rather jello-like opinion? He was all about imposing tariffs on China, Canada, the EU (European Union), and the rest of the world. Okay, then what was his latest tweet all about?
Granted, Trump had to buy off the American farmers with $12 billion of found money after his tariffs had a disastrous effect on them. After all, they could vote for him.
Someone invited the EU to Washington D.C. Either POTUS was playing chicken with them, or he wanted everyone to forget all about the tariffs. Then, we will all be friends again? He tweeted “drop all Tariffs, Barriers and Subsidies.”
‘The European Union is coming to Washington tomorrow to negotiate a deal on Trade. I have an idea for them. Both the U.S. and the E.U. drop all Tariffs, Barriers and Subsidies! That would finally be called Free Market and Fair Trade! Hope they do it, we are ready – but they won’t!’
The man sitting in the Oval Office has done everything he could to keep people’s minds bouncing back and forth until a numbing brain fog settled in. Still, we’re onto his little act. Look at the tweet he sent out just 12 hours earlier. He tweeted that “tariffs are the greatest:”
‘Tariffs are the greatest! Either a country which has treated the United States unfairly on Trade negotiates a fair deal, or it gets hit with Tariffs. It’s as simple as that – and everybody’s talking! Remember, we are the “piggy bank” that’s being robbed. All will be Great!’
