The situation seems to worsen for Mr. Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, these days. Federal investigators continue to dig up dirt which most likely will lead to his demise. Special Master Barbara Jones was appointed by a federal judge in April to pore over documents, cell phone calls, and other electronic communications that were acquired when the FBI raided Cohen’s law office and homes.

Now, Special Master Jones has released 883,634 more items to prosecutors, which bring the total to 2 million pieces of evidence. In a court filing on Tuesday, Jones said that 595 of 1,262 items examined in her latest review are protected by attorney-client privilege.

Jones noted that there were items “that were not designated privileged, partially privileged or highly personal.” She also said her “review of the remaining items is ongoing.” According to New York Daily News:

‘Jones released 1,310,365 items to prosecutors earlier this month after determining they weren’t protected by attorney-client privilege.’

Last month, Cohen said that he believed about 12,061 out of 4 million documents are protected by attorney-client privilege. Documents designated as privileged are not fair game in Manhattan Federal Court. Cohen who is 51 years old is also being investigated for bank and wire fraud in his business dealings. He denies the allegations and hasn’t yet been charged.

In addition, Cohen is under investigation for actions related to the $130,000 nondisclosure payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels who had an affair with Mr. Trump more than a decade ago.

Cohen is now being represented by a new legal team and there is speculation that he may cooperate with authorities.
