Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sure has made a big impact on politics, and she hasn’t even won her seat in Congress yet. She’s the new face of the progressive party and Republicans are getting worried about what will happen if/when she’s elected. They’re so worried about her in fact that one of their high profile attack dogs went after her and she had no problem putting him in his place.
Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions.
And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one. pic.twitter.com/rsD17Oq9qe

Her response was given after conservative commentator Ben Shapiro challenged her to a debate and offered her $10,000 to do it. The problem with his offer is that if Ben Shapiro wants to debate a politician, he should register to run against her in her district…then he could debate her all he wants. Ocasio-Cortez is absolutely correct to turn down the offer from Shapiro.
Like she said “I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions,” because Shapiro most certainly has bad intentions. Like most conservatives, all he would most likely do is stand on the stage and tell lie after lie. Ocasio-Cortez would have to spend all of her talking time refuting conservative lies, and that’s not a good way to spend her time.
No she has better things to do, like preparing for the November election. She’ll have to prepare to debate a real-life politician, not some sleazy radio show announcer. She’ll also have to spend copious amounts of time fundraising and getting out and meeting the citizens she hopes to represent starting next year.
Ocasio-Cortez most certainly isn’t the kind of woman that’s afraid of an entitled, rich boy who wants to publicly harm her. No she’s a very smart, capable woman who plans to help all of the people she comes into contact with on any given day. Kudos to you, Alexandria.
