The latest episode of the Trump White House reality TV show is apparently called Celebrity Feuds. As the public squabbles between the former reality TV show host turned president and the former reality TV show contestant turned former White House adviser Omarosa Manigault-Newman heats up, it was only a matter of time before Trump took the feud to Twitter.
Let’s break this down, because this is exactly how much Trump gives a damn about the minority communities he’s been elected to represent. At a time when racial tensions are at a fever pitch and black Americans need to be heard as a matter of life and death, the president hired a liaison to the black community because she said nice things about him and kept her on even though she wasn’t doing her job. He had no problem with that.
Now she’s said things about him he doesn’t like, and that he has a problem with.
For the record, Trump is literally on tape speaking with Omarosa the day after her firing, telling her he was unaware that she was being forced out and that he “didn’t love” that she was let go. Now he says he knew how terrible a job she was doing, but that doesn’t exactly make Trump look any better here. He hired her four times. Hiring her three times as a reality show contestant may be understandable because her terrible personality made for good television, but hiring her to work in the West Wing?
That’s Trump, only hiring “the best people.”
Twitter was quick to remind Trump who is responsible for the public spectacle that is Omarosa. Read some of their comments below:
