On Thursday, news broke that legendary singer Aretha Franklin had passed away after a battle with cancer. With that news, many have taken to social media to express their condolences and honor the Queen of Soul including President Donald Trump.
However, it came off as the usual garbage that he tweets indicating his inability to appreciate just what a loss the world has experienced with Franklin’s passing.
In his tweet, he said:
‘The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, is dead. She was a great woman, with a wonderful gift from God, her voice. She will be missed!’
Basically, it’s the same crap he spews every time someone he’s probably never even heard of or appreciated has died. If Trump wants to truly honor Franklin, the best thing he could do would be to STOP BEING RACIST. Otherwise, shut your Big Mac eating pie hole.
Trump is not an eloquent man by any means especially when you compare him to President Barack Obama. Obama honored Franklin with an articulate and expressive tweet.
‘Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade-our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect. May the Queen of Soul rest in eternal peace.’
Who can forget the time Obama cried while listening to Franklin sing?
