Fox News has spent a lot of time trying to trash Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the alleged collusion between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russian government operatives. In fact, Jeanine Pirro, believes that Robert Mueller is a greater threat to America than Russia is.

As Trump’s legal spokesman, Rudy Giuliani, tripped over his own previous statements about the 2016 Trump Tower meeting between top campaign officials, including Trump’s son and his son-in-law, it seems the public increasingly disagrees with Fox News’s assessment.

In a recent poll conducted by none other than Fox News, Mueller’s and the investigation’s approval rating jumped by 11 points in the past month.

What Americans are less completely confident about is that Mueller’s investigation will prove that Trump committed crimes, although only one-third of those polled were completely convinced that he wouldn’t. The majority answered that they were either “extremely,” “very,” or “somewhat” confident that he would.

Of course, that poll ended three days before shoe after shoe dropped in the Cohen guilty plea, in which the president’s former attorney testified that there was proof that Trump committed a felony when he directed Cohen to pay off former mistresses without reporting that the payments weren’t reported as in-kind campaign donations, so the next poll will likely look quite different.

The uncertainty is likely falling quickly. It isn’t only Cohen who says he has proof, one piece already presented to the public is actual audio tape of Trump discussing the payments ahead of the elections, Trump ally David Pecker of The National Enquirer has now produced evidence that Trump knew and directed the payments to prevent the stories from appearing in the media before Election Day.
