Melania Trump is our first lady who says she is dedicated to helping children. She just returned from a trip to Africa in support of improving kid’s lives there. Back in the U.S., she has also taken up a related cause. Mrs. Trump has been vitally concerned about how the opioid crisis has made ruins of hundreds of thousands of our youngest ones’ lives. Her approach has been far different than most.
She and Donald Trump just visited the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio. While her husband tried to color with the little ones, for a rare positive photo-op, the first lady pointed out how ‘opioid abuse’ does damage during pregnancy:
‘Very meaningful visit to
@Nationwidekids on Friday. We must continue to do all we can to educate people about the real dangers of opioid abuse, especially during pregnancy.’

Mrs. Trump visited the West Virginia drug treatment facility, Lily’s Place, earlier. While there, she said the opioid crisis is a “passion” for her, according to CNN:
‘I want to be here to support you and give a voice to Lily’s Place and also for the opioid epidemic…Please tell me how I can help. That’s why I’m here I want to listen to your stories, I want to hear what I can do to help.’
Twitter world showed how much more popular Melania Trump is than her husband, the president of these United States. Check out some more of our favorite tweets below:
