Despite numerous possible criminal investigations and an audio tape that proves Trump was at least aware of, and possibly conspired with his lawyer to commit, felony crimes, what plagues Trump most is his inability to control the news that reports on him. Just as Nixon once did, Trump paints himself as some tragic victim of the left, because a party that currently controls all three branches of federal government plus holds more governerships and control of state governments is surely being oppressed.
The truth is that top Google results generally skew toward more legitimate news sources, and none of those happen to be Fox News, Breitbart, The Daily Caller, or Alex Jones. It isn’t that Trump or the GOP are being oppressed, it’s just that their supporters have to lie to stand with the president who cannot tell the truth.
Trump has consistently praised Lou Dobbs, the Fox News contributor who consistently praises Trump, but using him as a voice for the black community is as deeply disgusting as it is laughable. The very white Dobbs, who has supported birtherism and been forced to resign from more legitimate news outlets as a result of that support, uses fear-mongering, racist talking points to garner support for Trump and right-wing policies on immigration, and is wildly xenophobia against people of Islamic faith is surely the voice for minorities America should believe in.
Finally, no matter how much Trump tries to spin it and how much it breaks his heart, the economy is doing well…but still not better than it did under Obama.
