Just when you thought Trump’s tweets could not get anymore insane, or ridiculous, or insulting of the intelligence of the American people, he began tweeting on Wednesday morning about the “fake news,” “enemy of the people” rhetoric that he so clings to, but added an all new twist.
In case anyone has forgotten that Lester Holt interview, it’s the one where Trump admitted that he fired former FBI Director James Comey because of the investigation into allegations that the 2016 Trump campaign colluded with Kremlin-linked operatives to win the presidential election. Prior, he had said that he fired Comey due to his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation and his administration said that he did so at the recommendation of deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Not only did Trump throw his own people under the bus in that interview, he provided a basis for American voters to believe that Trump was deliberately and in full sight obstructing justice in the investigation.
It’s impossible to imagine how any rational person can watch Trump insist that videos and audios of him are “fudged,” but it’s not the first time he’s done so. The president and his people have continued to deny that Trump knew about the illegal payments made to his former mistresses during the presidential campaign even though audio tape has been made public in which everyone can hear Trump directing his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to commit that felony.
He has also tried to say that the 2005 Access Hollywood tape in which Trump can be heard bragging about grabbing women “by the p*ssy” is not really him.
Anyone who still thinks this is a normal or even remotely honest president isn’t a rational person at all, and Trump is making them less rational by the day.
