Former reality show star and Donald Trump aide, Omarosa Manigault-Newman was back in public view again, as promised. This time, she appeared on The View to release another tape from her days in the White House. The former aide said that she has over 100 tapes that she made during her year working for the Trump administration, but this one was a real doozy.
The president crashed a tax cut legislation meeting in 2017, shortly after the Democratic National Committee paid for opposition research, including the infamous dossier. He appeared on Manigault’s tape meandering from his eternal favorite topic, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, to the Russia investigation.
Managault told the women on ABC’s The View:
‘When Donald Trump got bored, which was very often because his attention span was very short, he would sometimes try to figure out what meetings were taking place in the White House and he would crash those meetings.
‘This was a meeting with the entire communications staff and the press shop, meeting to talk about tax reform or his trip to North Korea. He crashed the meeting, he came into the meeting, he sat down and he starts rambling from topic to topic, none of it makes sense.’
Trump told staffers on the tape:
‘I think Hillary is getting killed right now with Russia, The real Russia story is Hillary and collusion.’
Then, he said his former-staffer Hope Hicks relayed to him that his campaign opponent paid nine million dollars for it. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that was not right. It was more like six million. Trump continued:
‘Did you see? Nobody knows who spent it. No, I heard it was 9. I heard it was 5.7 but now they say it was 9.’
POTUS firmly believed those dollars came via a law firm, making the funds untraceable. Then, he added that these were “illegal:”
‘It’s definitely illegal, and it’s illegal from a campaign standpoint, from a campaign financing standpoint.’
