With the highest rate of mass shootings of any developed country in the world, no one living in the U.S. is surprised to hear of yet another incident of gun violence, yet the common sense gun law reform debate still rages on.
According to CBS News:
‘Local and federal authorities are responding to reports of an active shooter in Middleton, Wisconsin, about 6 miles outside of Madison.
‘Middleton Police are leading the investigation. A.T.F. agents from the Madison office are also responding.’

According to local WXYZ in Detroit, police responded to a commercial building, home of Escker Software.
‘Dane County dispatch received multiple reports of an active shooter in the 1800 block of Deming Way, WISC-TV reports.
‘The ATF has been called to the incident, where crime scene tape has the area blocked off and people are standing nearby watching what is happening. An estimated 50 police and FBI vehicles are there, a WISC-TV reporter said.
‘”Please lock all doors, stay inside and shelter in place until further notice,” said a notice from the Middleton Police Department, which is responding to the incident.’

Details about casualties are unknown at this time and no arrests have been announced. Local schools are currently on lockdown and this situation is ongoing.
‘Middleton High School, Kromrey Middle School and Clark Street Community School were all locked down, a district spokesperson said. Nearby Madison College announced there is no active threat on its campus at this time.’
