The administration of Donald Trump is the most corrupt presidential administration in this country’s long history. Luckily for us, and the rule of law, our government has a something called the Office of the Special Counsel to let us know when one of the Trump crime syndicate breaks the law — like they did today, when they busted Melania Trump’s spokeswoman for violating the Hatch Act. It seems that Stephanie Grisham sent out a tweet with the idiotic maxim #MAGA on it and government officials are not allowed to use their official government positions to advocate for political candidates.
Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) posted a tweet asking the OSC to look into the Hatch Act violation, and they sent back their response today letting him know that Grisham did indeed break the law.
At the very least, we should be able to trust that those who serve in the highest positions in our government will follow the law. Instead, this administration seems to promote a culture where showing that basic level of respect for the American taxpayer is optional pic.twitter.com/PW9UACuhcS

The OSC said it issued a warning to Grisham, according to the letter sent to Carper, who called news of Grisham’s violation “astounding.” He also ripped into the Trump administrations repeated violations of the Hatch Act.
‘At the very least, we should be able to trust that those who serve in the highest positions in our government will follow the law. Instead, this administration seems to promote a culture where showing that basic level of respect for the American taxpayer is optional.’
Sadly no one in the Trump administration will stop breaking the law because the only person who has the authority to punish the violators is Donald Trump himself. We all know he cares nothing about the rule of law, so why would we think he’d start now? So in essence he and his minions are using their official government positions to help get Trump reelected, and it’s a crying shame that this country is stuck with law-breaking leadership like that.
