JUST IN: Mark Judge Makes FBI Investigation Announcement No One Saw Coming

Friday ended with a surprise moment on Capitol Hill after Senator Jeff Flake announced he would not confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court without an FBI investigation into the accusations of several women who allege Kavanaugh sexually assaulted them.

However, in a more surprising move, Kavanaugh’s former schoolmate and friend Mark Judge announced he would cooperate with any investigation as long as he could do so confidentially. Judge is also accused of participating in the sexual assault of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

CNBC reported:

‘A lawyer for Mark Judge, the high school buddy of embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, told CNBC that Judge “will answer any and all questions posed to him” by the FBI about serious sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh.’

President Donald Trump has ordered an FBI investigation into the allegations.

‘I’ve ordered FBI to conduct a supplemental investigation to update Judge Kavanaugh’s file.’

Currently, Republican Senators Jeff Flake, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Joe Manchin have also agreed that an FBI investigation is needed. With their refusals to confirm Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, Republicans would not have the votes to confirm him successfully.

Judge will be an interesting witness to question especially since he wrote the book Wasted: Tales of a Gen X Drunk back in 1997.

In the book, Judge talks about a friend named Bart O’Kavanaugh who drank heavily to the point of blacking out. However, Judge Kavanaugh has denied drinking in such a manner. Kavanaugh has described Judge as a friend from high school with a serious drinking problem.

‘Mark Judge was a friend of ours in high school who developed a very serious drinking problem-an addiction problem-that lasted decades and was difficult for him to escape from.’
