On the night Stormy Daniels (aka Stephanie Clifford) was arrested in Ohio, she and her attorney Michael Avenatti cried foul. There was no reason for her to be arrested as she was doing nothing wrong and was simply guest performing.

As it turns out, they were both correct to be suspicious of the surprise arrest. The FBI’s Public Corruption Task Force, which includes Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, have been called in by the police chief of the department whose vice squad who arrested Daniels, citing possible corruption in the arrest due to some of the officers’ vocal support of President Donald Trump.

According to TMZ:

‘Chief Kim Jacobs says she will take the heat for the arrest at Sirens strip club … where Stormy was busted for touching an undercover vice officer during her performance. As TMZ reported, the arrest was bogus because the law only prohibits touching by dancers who perform regularly at a club, and Stormy was a featured guest for only 2 nights.

‘Chief Jacobs noted a mistake was made, though she was not specific. She went on to say, “While the presence of Vice officers at this establishment is reasonable, the motivations behind the officers’ actions will be reviewed internally…”‘

Leaked emails between officers on that vice squad showed that information was being gathered about Daniels at least two days prior to her arrest. One officer bragged to another afterward.

‘The same officer who arrested Stormy sent messages from her personal email account to her work account with pictures of Stormy with President Trump, Stormy in lingerie and a map to the strip club.

‘There’s also another email that shows the same officer bragging about Stormy’s arrest to another officer, saying, “you’re welcome!!!!….Thank me in person later.”‘

The vice squad in question have been suspended pending the corruption probe.
