Judge Orders Emails Between Trump & Pence From 2016 Be Public ;GOP Panics

The people of Indiana have been lied to about a deal then-Governor Mike Pence made to keep the Carrier Corporation in the state. It was a deal that then candidate Donald Trump bragged about to show his followers that he was concerned about companies fleeing America to operate outside the country. Now, an Indiana judge has ruled that Governor Eric Holcomb’s office must turn over all emails made between Mike Pence and Donald Trump, over their rotten agreement.

USA Today reported that Marion County Judge Heather Welch gave Republican Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, who replaced Mike Pence as governor when he became the vice president, 30 days to deliver the documents, siding with Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana, which first requested the emails in December 2016. The Citizens Action Coalition want the emails in the name of transparency because it appears that the governor is hiding something.

Trump frequently called Carrier out over their plans to cut 2,100 jobs in Indiana and move them to Mexico. He later worked with Pence to formulate a deal with Carrier that allowed half of those jobs to stay in Indiana, in exchange for $7 million in tax incentives and training grants as long as Carrier agreed to stay in Indiana for at least a decade. The company also agreed to invest millions in upgrades and automation. Even though they agreed to those terms, 600 workers in its Indianapolis factory still lost their jobs.

Carrier claims that there’s still 1100 workers still working in the plant, but the union says that’s a lie…there are only about 700 workers left. Kerwin Olson, the executive director of Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana had this to say about the judge’s ruling

‘government is the servant of the people, not vice versa, and that all Hoosiers are entitled to full and complete information regarding the affairs of their state government.’

For his part Governor Holcomb said that his office would comply with the judge’s ruling. Hopefully the people of the state of Indiana can get some much needed answers if he comes through with those emails.
