No matter how many examples there are of Republican men disrespecting and demeaning women, they continue to insist that it’s the poor, suffering, conservative men who are under attack. State Rep. Duane Quam (R-MN) proved on Tuesday during a debate just how women are treated when they challenge Republican men.
DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR –> GOP Lawmaker Duane Quam Rips Mic From Democratic Candidate's Hands During Debate.

During a livestream broadcast of a debate between Quam and his Democratic challenger, Jamie Mahlberg, a question was asked regarding education funding. Quam insisted that cutting education was not his goal, but that he wants the “formula” for the state’s responsibility to care for children reviewed every few years. Mahlberg said the formula needed to stay but with added support for children, including education. Apparently, Quam disagreed.
So here’s a recent video of a great female candidate, @JamieForHouseMN , getting the mic ripped from her hand by incumbent Duane Quam. Time for Quam to find a new job—hopefully where other people don’t have to work with him. Or try to, you know, get him to fund education. https://t.co/nbg3IkV8gM

In front of the live audience, who gasped in shock, Quam then physically snatched the microphone out of Mahlberg’s hand and challenged her response. When he finished, he first offered the mic back to her for her rebuttal, but she declined to take it and say more.
Rep. Quam then threw the microphone toward her, which landed on the table with a loud bang. The crowd murmured their disapproval and the debate moderator seemed flabbergasted, but continued her questions.
The kind of cool, calm, and collected demeanor we have come to know and respect from Duane Quam.

It can be argued that this was an isolated incident of misogyny, Quam’s deplorable action is one that President Donald Trump once proposed a similar action against Sen. Elizabeth Warren should she run against him in 2020.
‘Let’s say I’m debating Pocahontas, right? I promise you I’ll do this, you know those little kits they sell on television for $2 — ‘Learn your heritage…We will take that little kit and say — but we have to do it gently, because we’re in the #MeToo generation, so have to be very gentle. And we will very gently take that kit and we will slowly toss it — hoping it doesn’t hit her and injure her arm — even though it only weighs probably 2 ounces. We will say, “I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.”‘
