Trump Threatens Obama AG Eric Holder Over ‘They Go Low, We Kick Them’ Remark

-

Donald Trump must believe that he is king of the world, because he just took on a formidable opponent, former Attorney General (AG) Eric Holder. The former AG served under the President Barack Obama administration. Trump only tries to bully those he thinks will not fight back, and he he misjudged Holder substantially.

The man sitting in the Oval Office went after Holder on Fox & Friends. He said that Holder “better be careful:”

‘He better be careful what he’s wishing for. That’s a disgusting statement for him to make. For him to make a statement like that is a very dangerous statement.’

President Barack Obama asked Holder to chair the National Democratic Redistricting Committee. The committee was based upon the idea that the way to reshape politics was to take on gerrymandering. The state legislative maps change after the 2020 Census. The former AG has also been campaigning for other Democratic candidates.

Holder tapped into Democrats frustration over their party’s seeming milquetoast approach to governing. A video of Holder campaigning for Stacy Abrams (D-GA), the first African-American to run for governor, went viral. In it, he offered a strong message.

In the meantime, the GOP has had no such qualms as the Dems, playing dirty and without conscience to wrest more and more power. Holder fired back at the GOP:

‘Michelle (Obama) always says that, you know, “When they go low, we go high.” No. When they go low, we kick them. That’s what this new Democratic Party is about. We’re proud as hell to be Democrats. We’re going to fight for the ideals of the Democratic Party.’

Trump claimed that he didn’t see the former AG running for president in 2020. Still, POTUS gave Holder no room to step into the candidacy, indicating “he’s got some problems” and the Dems primaries “would gobble him up:”

‘I don’t see him running. And if he did run, I think he gets gobbled up before he ever gets to the election itself. I think the primaries would gobble him up.”

Holder has indicated that he might take a run against Trump in the upcoming presidential election, and he will make that decision in 2019. Yet, he would be just one in a field of candidates. Others include Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Kamala Harris (D-CA). and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Trump said on Fox & Friends that he would gladly take on any or all of them in the presidential election. Then, he injected a sly putdown by saying he would “hope they stay healthy:”

‘So far, I like every one of them. I just hope they stay healthy. And I hope they fight it out. Any one of them I’d like. I just hope that we don’t get any star or good thinker.’
