Donald Trump could have been sitting in the Oval Office keeping his finger on the pulse of the mega-hurricane Michael, in a show of his support for the affected. POTUS could have, but he did not. Instead, he found another way to spend his time that even Fox News did not cover.

It seems that Fox News will not be covering Trump’s campaign rallies any more. Oh sure, Fox will pop in and out of Trump’s stumping speech, but the full rally broadcasts are no more.

The commander-in-chief was shocked, just shocked, that his personal cable channel would dump him, but Fox News had a very good reason. The network’s live coverage of Trump’s full rallies has caused its ratings to plummet. The president was outraged.

The Wall Street Journal reports that this “blows open the doors to investing…” And Forbes says that “this changes everything.” And our research shows that anyone could successfully use this strategy to turn $500 into $650,000 (or more).

POLITICO reported that “figures for Trump rallies have dropped,” but the White House vows to “look into” his favorite network’s change. This medium’s decision could spell bad news for “a key platform ahead of the midterms.”

Not even C-SPAN covered Trump’s entire Council Bluffs, Iowa rally. It broke away to cover news of the historical Hurricane Michael. After Trump became president, both MSNBC and CNN quit covering his rallies. However, all of the cable networks plan on continuing to carry his presidential speeches, press conferences, and comments to reporters, according to POLITICO.

POLITICO source closely tied to Trump called the change:

‘A huge loss on the state and local level for Republicans because they’re certainly not going to get any of that on other cable networks. If they stop taking them completely, that might create a problem. Trump is a massive consumer of the media, so he may be disappointed.’

A senior White House official spoke to POLITICO, saying the administration was “unsure” why Fox News was making this change. The source also said that current White House Communications Director Bill Shine, who was fired from his position as a Fox News executive, would contact his friends at the network.

A Senate Republican campaign staff member worried about the change:

‘It exposes us to a national audience that we normally don’t get to. We tend to see lots of new sign-ups and small-dollar donations. There’s obviously folks streaming (rallies) online, but being able to be onstage with the president in front of a prime-time audience is huge for a campaign trying to reach conservatives across the country who will open up their wallets.’

The network discovered that ratings for the broadcasted live rallies had fallen way below its regular programming. That made sense, because Trump’s rallies have been simple repeats, which gets boring. Instead, Fox News will feature clips from just three of the president’s rallies.

Fox News returned to regular weekday prime-time program during Trump’s rally in Topeka, Kansas. Then, Fox replaced weekend programming for Fox Report Weekend and Justice With Judge Jeanine with the entire rally.

One senior White House official was unsure why the network would decide to cut away from presidential rallies, saying officials planned “to look into that” and wouldn’t be surprised if Shine had some insight into Fox’s plan.
