President Donald Trump may be gloating that a judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought against him by Stephanie Clifford (aka Stormy Daniels). On Tuesday, however, Clifford had her own reason to gloat.
According to the Associated Press, Trump’s Sunday interview with Lesley Stahl on 60 minutes was viewed by approximately half the audience that viewed Clifford’s own interview, which aired back in March.
‘President Trump reached 11.7 million viewers for his “60 Minutes” interview on Sunday …’
‘Daniels, the porn star who alleged an affair with Trump before he became president, drew 22.1 million for her interview last March.’
What is up with audience sizes and Trump?
On Tuesday, Trump tweeted about the dismissal of her defamation lawsuit and called her “Horseface.”
‘”Federal Judge throws out Stormy Daniels lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees.” @FoxNews Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas. She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!’
Clifford brilliantly responded to the tweet.
‘Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present your president. In addition to his…umm…shortcomings, he has demonstrated his incompetence, hatred of women and lack of self control on Twitter AGAIN! And perhaps a penchant for bestiality. Game on, Tiny.’
‘I see someone finally made it to chapter 3. Also, can someone please teach Tiny about correct punctuation? We already knew you’re a con, though. #triggeredhim #slowreader #commasarehard’
So, what does this tell us about the president and the scandal that has rocked the White House? Well, it tells us that people are far more interested in hearing what Clifford’s story is, which means the morals of the president of the United States does matter to the voters. Granted, Trump has the morals of a feral cat in heat; however, Americans do care. If Trump’s evangelical base continues to support him, it shows their own hypocrisy when it comes to their religious beliefs and their own morals.
Trump’s own Twitter behavior also reveals that we have a 72-year-old man in the White House representing our country that would stoop so low as to call someone “Horseface.” What’s truly sad is he could have come up with an insult that was a bit more mature, but no, he went with “Horseface.”
Additionally, he may call her “Horseface,” but he definitely spent an evening with Clifford. She wasn’t a “Horseface” back then, now was she?
Additionally, it shows his misogynistic attitude towards women. Let a woman cross him and he will insult their looks or claim they are on their period.
Regardless of all that, the one thing that nails Trump hard is when he isn’t as popular as what he believes and tries to portray, he loses it. He may lie about how many people watched; however, the ratings don’t lie. More people were interested in hearing Clifford’s story than hear him talk about how he isn’t a baby.
