Donald Trump has an all-new slogan he thinks is quite clever. To his rabid fanbase, it probably is. To anyone who’s actually been paying attention to the facts instead of Trump’s spin on them, it’s actually just funny.

It isn’t just the idea that protesting and democracy, according to Trump, have suddenly been dubbed “mob rule” that makes Trump’s Dr. Seuss-style slogan so ridiculous. It’s the idea that Republicans are the party of job growth.

Trump’s policies have not increased job growth; in truth, the rate is similar, although mildly slower, than it was under Obama. Wages are stagnant despite the increase in corporate profits, proving once again that trickle-down economics just don’t work.
Trump’s claims that the GDP has grown by historic measures under his presidency are also false. GDP growth is generally far lower under Republican presidents and Trump is only 21 months into his term. The rate of growth so far has held steady, but there’s been no huge economy recovery after a crisis like there was under Obama.
Not only is Trump not winning in any argument about Republicans and jobs, Twitter was quick to remind Trump of some mobs who’ve made news since his election, mobs he referred to as “very fine people.” Read some of their comments below:
