With the 2018 midterm elections being just a little over two weeks away, Mr. Trump is doing anything to boost Republicans’ chances of winning at this point, even to the point of creating blatant lies, which isn’t so shocking coming from such a deeply corrupt individual.
On Saturday, Trump stunned reporters with a wild midterm election promise. He told reporters:
‘We are looking at putting in a very major tax cut for middle-income people. And if we do that it’ll be sometime just prior to November. We are studying very deeply right now round the clock a major tax cut for middle income people.’

The polls have been promising for Democrats this election, and now Republicans are reacting out of their worst fear, which is that Democrats could gain control of both houses of Congress. It is projected though that Democrats will likely gain control of the House while Republicans will retain their control of the Senate.
The president also spoke about his intent to bring out the military if the immigrant caravan reaches the U.S. border. In his typical third grade language, Trump said:
‘Some bad people started the caravan. More importantly, you have some very, very bad people in the caravan.’
As far as Trump’s midterm election promise of major tax cuts for middle-income people, it is empty. This is not possible as Congress is not currently in session and will not convene until after the midterms. Trump is counting on Americans to be too stupid or distracted to notice this though.
