Jewish Leaders In Pittsburgh Accuse Trump Of Inciting Acts Of Terror

Last year after white nationalists marched in Charlottesville, Va., Donald Trump refused to disavow them or the terror they bring everywhere they go. In fact, he went so far as to call some of them “very fine people.” Well, Jewish leaders in Pittsburgh have pulled the gloves off when it comes to the terrorism Trump has incited against minorities. They’ve even said that he’s no longer welcome in Pittsburgh because of it.

Their stance came after yesterday’s horrific shooting and murder of 11 parishioners in the Tree of Life Synagogue, and the way Trump all but ignored what happened. The group Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice made their announcement today in a letter they penned and posted on their website.

‘President Trump:

Yesterday, a gunman slaughtered 11 Americans during Shabbat morning services. We mourn with the victims’ families and pray for the wounded. Here in Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood, we express gratitude for the first responders and for the outpouring of support from our neighbors near and far.

President Trump, you are not welcome in Pittsburgh until you fully denounce white nationalism.

For the past three years your words and your policies have emboldened a growing white nationalist movement. You yourself called the murderer evil, but yesterday’s violence is the direct culmination of your influence.

President Trump, you are not welcome in Pittsburgh until you stop targeting and endangering all minorities.

Our Jewish community is not the only group you have targeted. You have also deliberately undermined the safety of people of color, Muslims, LGBTQ people, and people with disabilities. Yesterday’s massacre is not the first act of terror you incited against a minority group in our country.

President Trump, you are not welcome in Pittsburgh until you cease your assault on immigrants and refugees.

Some of those “very fine people” Trump talked about during their hate-filled march in Charlottesville, VA.

They finished off the letter with a verse from Torah about how every human being is made in the image of God. They also thanked all the first responders and all the people who have reached out to them in after that horrible crime. They then finished off their letter like this:

President Trump, you are not welcome in Pittsburgh until you commit yourself to compassionate, democratic policies that recognize the dignity of all of us.

Well, it couldn’t be any clearer than that. They rightly hold Trump responsible for all the evil he’s wrought upon the minorities in this country. Trump will tell anyone who’ll listen how smart he is, but he’s apparently either daft or out of his mind because his rhetoric is causing people to die. He’s done more to divide this nation than any other person ever. He’s like a plague of disease we’re forced to suffer through.

It’s great that a minority group is taking such a firm stand against him. After the attack, which Trump said was horrific, he had the audacity to turn right around and blame the victims for what happened. He actually said if they had an armed guard the attack never would have taken place. Wait, what?? Now he expects church groups to post armed guards before their services. That’s just like him…that’s ludicrous.
