Singing Legend Jimmy Buffett Announces His Hand In The Midterm Election

It’s great that some of our most iconic entertainers aren’t afraid to talk about politics. Just last month, one of the world’s foremost singers, Taylor Swift, came out in support of Democratic politicians in Tennessee. Today, singing legend Jimmy Buffett announced that he’s going to be putting on a free concert in Florida this Saturday in support of Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum and Sen. Bill Nelson.

The show was first announced on Andrew Gillum’s campaign page.

‘Join us in West Palm Beach for a GOTV concert to energize Democrats and Parrot Heads across the state.’

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday at Meyer Amphitheater in downtown West Palm Beach at 2:30 pm, and is sure to raise a lot of money, and more importantly the name recognition of the candidates.

Buffett must be true blue all the way because he had previously performed a free concert in support of Gillum’s primary opponent, Gwen Graham, but now that Gillum won the nomination, Buffett is supporting him 100 percent.

Senator Nelson is in a tough battle with the very corrupt Rick Scott. Hopefully, with Buffett’s support, both of the Democratic candidates will take the win and help turn Florida a little bit bluer.

Although those on the right are hoping the expected big blue wave doesn’t hit, let’s hope they’re wrong. This election cycle is looking to be one of this country’s biggest. Early voting has been at near record highs, and in the past having a lot of early voters normally means that Democrats are turning out in droves. That’s what it’s going to take in order to take down a lot of those corrupt Republican politicians and deal a blow to Donald Trump himself.
