Trump has many failures thus far, in his almost three years as President of the United States. Today, he can add a new failure to the list: Marketing.

He posted a movie poster-style image, straight out of a dictatorship regime like North Korea, which reads “Sanctions are Coming. November 5.” For those who prefer their information absorption without the theatrics, he is referring to yet another reversal of Obama-era policy; reimposing Iran sanctions which were originally lifted by Obama. In addition to this being another attempt at merely reversing Obama-era policy and another trick from the pre-Midterm political stunt bag, some see the move as dangerous for Americans who are currently detained in Iran.
On Friday morning, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated:
‘On November 5th, the United States will reimpose sanctions that were lifted as part of the nuclear deal on Iran’s energy, shipbuilding, shipping, and banking sectors.
‘These sanctions hit at core areas of Iran’s economy and they’re necessary to spur changes we seek on the part of the regime. In order to maximize the effect of the President’s pressure campaign, we have worked closely with other countries to cut off Iranian oil exports as much as possible’
We aren’t here for the boring policy talk, Mr. Secretary, we’re here for the B-movie cheese.

Naturally, like most overt-attempts to gain respect or amazement on Trump’s Twitter account (plus it being Friday and all) the Twitterverse wasn’t having any of it. Check out some of the silver-screen worthy replies to this ridiculous flop-job.
