Trump’s New Interview With Chris Wallace Is Crazy Even For Donald (VIDEO)

A preview of Donald Trump’s interview with Fox News reporter Chris Wallace aired on Saturday night and his comments were full of lies, excuses, and a complete lack of comprehension regarding the California fires, a ruling by a judge in the Jim Acosta case, and ridiculous claims about why he skipped a visit to Arlington Cemetary on Veteran’s Day.

When Wallace reminded Trump that President Obama went every year during his time in Washington, Trump became defensive and full of claims that he was “busy” and tired from the trip to France.

‘I could have done that, as you know I just left the day before the American Cemetery and I probably think , and that was one where it was raining as hard as you can imagine and I made a speech at the American Cemetery the day before and I probably, you know, in retrospect, I should have and I did last year and I will virtually every year…we had come in very late at night and I had just left, literally, the American Cemetary in Paris and I really probably assumed that was fine and I was extremely busy.’

Trump also responded to questions about the California wildfires, saying “no one’s ever seen” what was happening there and blamed poor management and a failure to rake leaves properly as the cause.

‘The president said he had seen the firemen at work and saw them raking under trees near the flames of the fires and said that had around the trees been raked out earlier there would be no fire burning.’

This is entirely untrue. Trump has ignored explanations that the tragedy is due to an urban-interface fire, which means that houses were built too close to areas prone to wildfires. He’s also continued to blame “mismanagement” by the state of California despite the fact that the fire is on federal land and could have been avoided with prevention efforts that Trump defunded.

Trump also misrepresented a ruling by a Trump-appointed federal judge regarding the removal of CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s press pass, saying that the judge ruled that his administration can make “rules” regarding reporters access to the White House. That isn’t at all what the judge said.

While the judge did say that no one has the right to access to the White House, “reporters have such rights once admitted.” He also ruled that Acosta’s right to due process had been violated, but Trump still insisted during the interview that he would revoke Acosta’s pass once again if he “misbehaves.”

Wallace also addressed those claims that Trump wrote his own answers to the written questions sent by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and whether Trump, who once excoriated Hillary Clinton for testifying but no under oath, will ever actually sit for questioning in Mueller’s investigation.

‘He certainly says all of those things again, very critical of the investigation. I ask him is there any chance now whether or not he’s gonna sit for an interview. He talks about the fact and makes a big point that he wrote the questions and then they were edited by the lawyers, but they’re his answers to these questions. I will say this. I don’t think there’s very much chance that he is ever going to sit for an interview with Robert Mueller.’
