Since the midterm elections, Mr. Trump has been a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any moment. Obviously, the president is nervously anticipating what Special Counsel Mueller’s next move will be and is afraid of how the now-Democratic controlled House may make him face up to his many crimes.
So, of course, Trump is losing his mind on Twitter these days, and he spent all Day Wednesday ranting about everything from the migrant caravan to slamming the media and bragging about gasoline prices. On Wednesday evening, he issued a tweet bragging about he had “gotten gasoline prices so low.”
This assertion is outright laughable. It seems as though Mr. Trump is just trying to take credit for all of the travel because of the Thanksgiving holiday happening on Thursday. Again, he also attempts to totally discredit the media.
It was reported that Thanksgiving travel will hit a 13-year high. It is expected that 54.3 million will travel 50 miles or more away from home, which is a 4.8 percent increase over last year. An additional 2.5 million people are also expected to take to the nation’s roads, rails, skies, and waterways according to AAA.
Twitter quickly called Trump out on his hogwash:
It is worth noting that while the troops spend their Thanksgiving along the U.S.-Mexico border as part of Trump’s political stunt, he will be feasting on a 24-dish feast at Mar-a-Lago. It is fitting for a president to pay a visit on Thanksgiving to troops they have mobilized. In 2003, George W. Bush visited troops in Iraq on Thanksgiving Day.
