Donald Trump feels that the Constitution of the United States is very unfair to him. After a day of tantrums when his attempts to rewrite the Constitution with an executive order were blocked by the courts, Chief Justice John Roberts issued a rare rebuke. Ever since that moment, Trump has lashed out at him.
Has any president in history ever sent the American people messages on Thanksgiving about “bedlam, chaos, injury and death”? Perhaps Trump has never been taught what the Thanksgiving holiday is supposed to be about, which is a celebration of the day that immigrants came to the United States.
By the way, those were the only immigrants who brought “bedlam, chaos, injury and death.” None of them were brown, either.
It’s probably not smart to insult the man who will oversee his impeachment when it comes, but the Supreme Court will do its job and rule fairly based on the Constitution. Trump saying that anyone “knows nothing about” anything is ironic, but telling a Supreme Court justice how the Constitution is written is laughable. If Trump wanted “the Constitution as written,” he wouldn’t keep trying to rewrite it through executive orders. He also wouldn’t keep violating it.
Meanwhile, troops wait at the border on Thanksgiving for a caravan of poor migrants trying to escape poverty and violence, and have been authorized to use force against them. After all, that’s what Thanksgiving is all about, right?
Twitter was not pleased with Trump’s tantrum. Read some of their comments below:
