The train of repugnant revelations about those President Donald Trump has surrounded himself with just keeps chugging along. Now, The Daily Beast has outlined how it could very well be that close Trump ally and Fox News host Jeanine Pirro still owes over half a million dollars in debt that accumulated during her four month campaign for Senate all the way back in 2006.
Pirro still lives under the cloud of that ill fated attempt to unseat Hillary Clinton in other ways, taking it upon herself, for instance, to go to an area where the Clintons were and pester townspeople as to whether or not they’d seen the eventual presidential candidate.
As it turns out, though, her grudge against Clinton could have stemmed not just from politics, but from a continued effort to evade financial responsibility for her campaign against the candidate — although technically, she never made it out of the Republican primary.
Her campaign committee is apparently still active, because it’s against the law for such entities to dissolve before they’ve paid their debts. For the duration of a campaign committee’s existence, it’s required to file financial disclosure forms with the Federal Election Commission — but Pirro’s committee hasn’t filed the form for around seven years.
The last time it did so was in 2011, five years after the failed Senate run concluded, when it revealed that although it still owed $589,000 to 20 different interests, campaign treasurer and consultant Bruce Bellmare and the sanctioned consultant Jeffrey Buley — both of whom had worked with Pirro’s husband — were garnering an income from the campaign.
The FEC has gone after the campaign as recently as last month, warning them that financial penalties could result from refusals to file the required forms, but they have received no response.
That hasn’t stopped Pirro from charging on with her message of law and order or else anyway, a message she brought to a campaign stage next to Donald Trump shortly before the midterm elections after having consulted with the president multiple times in the past.
Hilariously enough, Pirro is still going after Clinton, fourteen years after failing in her bid to unseat her in Congress.
Recently, the Fox News host ranted:

In other words — Pirro wishes to discount Clinton as a misogynist for her response to the behavior of someone else in the case of Lewinsky, who had an affair with her husband and Broaddrick, who claims Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her.
The addition of the claim about a young rape victim is based on the hyperbole that as a young lawyer, Hillary adamantly defended an accused child rapist.
‘Clinton reluctantly took on the case, which ended with a plea bargain for the defendant… she did not laugh about the case’s outcome, [and] she did not assert that the complainant “made up the rape story.”‘
