News of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the alleged collusion between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russian government operatives is heating up now that the midterms have ended, and the president is showing just how frightened he really is.
So far, Trump’s claims of Mueller’s “conflicts of interest” include hundreds of photos of him kissing former FBI Director James Comey, which do not exist, and a years-old dispute over golf fees that led to Mueller lying in wait to get his revenge.
Trump’s questions about the “hundreds” of people involved in his campaign who definitely didn’t collude with the Russian government to destabilize the democratic process in 2016 is actually laughable. If only a handful of Trump campaign officials committed a crime, how does that make the situation any better?
There absolutely are indications that the Trump campaign colluded with Julian Assange, whose release of emails from the DNC in an October 2016 surprise that likely ended Hillary Clinton’s chance at the presidency were obtained from Russian hackers, Guccifer 2.0. Roger Stone has recently been revealed as knowing that the email dump was coming, which is in no uncertain terms, an illegal act of collusion to help Trump’s campaign.
The country can expect more outraged tweets and ridiculous denials by the president as the days go on and the many sealed indictments filed by Mueller result in even more arrests. Regardless, the truth is coming, and it doesn’t look good for the Trump family.
Twitter was quick to respond to Trump’s tweets. Read some of their comments below:
