Gone are the days of rap royalty rivalry, based on east coast and west coast. It’s 2018 and the beef gets boiling when you’re rap royalty aligning yourself with a racist president like Donald Trump.

The hip hop world is gasping today, after Meek Mill released a track featuring Jay-Z titled “What’s Free,” where his guest, Mr. Beyonce (also known as Jay-Z) spits out a barrage of bullets, aimed at Kanye Wests’ endorsement of Trump. Just look at the harsh verse, and decide for yourself if it’s a dis:

‘No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye / They separate you when you got Michael and Prince’s DNA / I ain’t one of these house n*ggas you bought / My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours / My spo—c’mon, man—my route better of course…’

For those of you who don’t know, Ye is short for Kanye. Now that that is sorted…

Kanye West has been under the microscope for this constant alignment with Trump and his messaging of “Make America Great Again!” Kanye West is also not the most sound-minded person in the rap game, nor has he been for quite some time. Since his ego took center stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (where he rudely interrupted Taylor Swift), to more recent events, he is definitely hip hop’s questionable elephant in the room.

Speculations flew as Twitter seized on the action this morning and it’s been a hot topic since “What’s Free” dropped.

New York City-based popular podcast, It’s The Real can deny the lyrics all they want, but Jay-Z and Kanye’s rift has been ongoing for quite some time. It is obvious that the new track takes direct aim at Kanye, and it’s not a complement. Kanye’s a weirdo, and we know it. Just look at this cringe-worthy segment of Trump’s stunt, I mean ‘meeting’, with Kanye in October. (The meeting happened in the White House.)

Kanye’s affiliation has left many people scratching their heads in confusion or outright blasting his behavior this past year. Stunt after stunt, Kanye has confused the hell out of everyone and pissed off others.

At TMZ headquarters earlier this year, Kanye attempted to school Van Lathan. It’s not quite clear who won the insane ‘debate.’ Check it out for yourself and be sure to take some aspirin prior:

I guess we’re all judges on this case, each entitled to what conclusions we may draw from this new track by Meek and Jay. If you’re up for it and want in on the debate, you can hear the entire track “What’s Free,” in it’s entirety, below. (Warning: The lyrics are brash and explicit.)
