Discovered today, amongst the pages and pages of information regarding communication between Trump’s people and the Russians, was a Mueller memo that stated that Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime ‘fixer’ and personal attorney, spoke with Russian agents in November 2015.

Here is some of what was found in the memo:

‘In or around November 2015, Cohen received the contact information for, and spoke with, a Russian national who claimed to be a ‘trusted person’ in the Russian Federation who could offer the campaign ‘political synergy’ and ‘synergy on a government level.’

It continued:

‘The defendant recalled that this person repeatedly proposed a meeting between Individual 1 and the President of Russia. The person told Cohen that such a meeting could have a ‘phenomenal’ impact ‘not only in political but in a business dimension as well,’ referring to the Moscow Project, because there is ‘no bigger warranty in any project than consent of [the President of Russia].’

According to the memo, which can be read in its entirety here, Michael Cohen did not ‘follow up on this invitation.’

This information has been uncovered on the same day that Federal prosecutors have filed for and requested that Trump’s former personal attorney receive ‘a substantial term of imprisonment’ for his multitude of finance-related crimes. All-in-all Cohen could face fines between $20,000 and $1 million and a prison term that lasts up to 46 or 63 months. It was only one week ago that Michael Cohen entered a plea deal of ‘guilty’ in cooperation with the Russia investigation.
