Pelosi Skips Out On Paul Ryan’s Farewell Speech Then Publicly Disses Him

On Wednesday, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) gave his final speech. Ryan announced his intent to leave Congress before the 2018 election. According to USA Today, Ryan explained that he decided to leave Congress because of his family, saying he didn’t want his kids to know him only as a “weekend dad.”

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) who is likely going to be the next speaker of the house gave an amazing explanation as to why she chose not to attend his speech. Pelosi said:

‘This may come as a shock to you, but I was busy doing other things at the time. I wish him well as he goes forward.

‘I did not really have a chance to go to the speech and hear what he had to say, but I wish him and his family season’s greetings and best wishes for a wonderful future.’

Pelosi, who will likely become speaker of The House soon, simply had better things to do with her time than listen to Ryan’s speech, and wasn’t afraid to bluntly say it. According to SF Weekly:

‘Ryan delivered a pompous, 41-minute farewell address at the Library of Congress yesterday, dodging the harsh reality that he built his career tut-tutting about the national debt only to see the budget deficit widen to epic proportions. He occasionally rose to the occasion by providing a mild rebuke to the president’s more outrageous remarks,  Ultimately, the irresponsible Ryan failed to accomplish anything he promised, yet for some reason — those baby blues, maybe? — he’s regarded as a policy wonk and Very Serious Person.’

According to CBS News:

‘Ryan said that our country’s “complex problems are solvable… if our politics will allow it.” But he admitted that “the drivers of our broken politics are more obvious than the solutions,” Ryan said. And he worried, “The state of politics these days is another question, and frankly one I don’t have an answer for.”‘

As Congress closes out the year by fighting over funding for Trump’s border wall, Ryan told his colleagues to think bigger, saying:

‘No matter what the outcome is in the coming days, the larger problem will remain.’

Just last week, Nancy Pelosi met with Mr. Trump in the Oval Office along with Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY). The meeting resulted in a heated exchange with the president flying off the handle threatening to shut down the government if he doesn’t get his border wall.

After the meeting, Pelosi slammed Trump saying:

‘It’s like a manhood thing for him. As if manhood could ever be associated with him.’

She went on to say:

‘I was trying to be the mom. I can’t explain it to you. It was so wild. It goes to show you: you get into a tinkle contest with a skunk, you get tinkle all over you.’

Pelosi said:

‘The fact is we did get him to say, to fully own that the shutdown was his. That was an accomplishment.’

There has been much speculation about Pelosi becoming our next president due to the fact that Trump and Pence are facing serious legal trouble, and if they are actually ousted from office, she is next in line in the even she becomes speaker of The House. She is certainly proving that she could do the job.
