Donald Trump does nothing out of kindness or a sense of responsibility, which is why he tweets everything he does that might serve to make him look a little better than the incompetent mess of a president that he is. On Wednesday, the day after Christmas, Trump made a spur-of-the-moment visit to troops in Iraq with first lady Melania. Of course, he posted smiling, thumbs-up photos and videos of the visit.

His failure to visit the troops as most presidents in modern history have done on Christmas Day for the past two years did not go unnoticed. White House insiders told reporters that Trump was too afraid to visit combat zones for fear that he would be harmed, which is pretty odd since Trump is pretty sure he’d rush into a school during a mass shooting to take care of the shooter.
What was most noted about his Wednesday visit was that it did seem to happen willingly. For a president who claims to love the military and the men and women who protect our country more than anyone ever has, including the presidents who served in the military (Trump didn’t), he has certainly skipped most of the actual gestures that would show that love: visiting at Christmas, visiting Arlington Cemetary on Veteran’s Day, ensuring that veterans are receiving their benefits before going broke or losing their housing, and respecting all of the members of the military without singling out some groups as not worthy of respect.
Twitter was not impressed with Trump’s bragging. See some of their responses below:
