Donald Trump has been spending taxpayers’ money creating a slick video ad for his base. Naturally, it is about POTUS’ ever-present urge to leave a monument commemorating his time as president of these United States. Unfortunately, Trump has learned to lie in video.
There was no caravan that would reach this country and overrun it with thousands upon thousands of vicious criminals. Instead, people arrived exhausted after walking 2,000 miles. There were parents and many young children arriving at the U.S. border in search of asylum from the violence and gangs in their own countries.
Trump’s ad blasted across Twitter world in all caps, much like it’s creator:
‘CRISIS ON THE BORDER.’
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 3, 2019
The ad showed hoards of people milling about, some throwing things. The word “CRIME” flashed over the action. Then, as the ad continued, the word “DRUGS” flashed. The camera pulled back for an areal view of the crowd of people, and the word “LAWLESSNESS” flashed.
Trump’s ad then featured the Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) taken out of context saying:
‘Illegal immigration is wrong, plain and simple.’
After that, the man currently sitting in the Oval Office had his ad men bring in some music from the movie The Ten Commandments or some similar blockbuster classic. Then, in a dramatic voice that sounded a bit like God in the movie, Trump said:
‘We will build the wall.’
Then, POTUS opened up a space between the U.S. and its southern border and created a space for his tall display of his wall samples. As he did, his people in the ad took up the chant:
‘BUILD THE WALL. BUILD THE WALL. BUILD THE WALL.’
Twitter world caught fire. Check out some of our favorites below:
