GMA Host Offended By Trump’s Big Mac Tribute, Offers Pricey Rebuke (VIDEO)

Donald Trump managed to invite the college football national champion Clemson University Tigers to the White House for a celebratory dinner and make it all about himself. First off, he had his own favorite meal: hamburgers. Then, he said that he paid for it himself. We know the first was true, because we could see the hamburgers growing ever colder in their grease during the president’s photo-op. The second — well who knows? ABC’s Good Morning America (GMA) host Michael Strahan made the team an offer they could not refuse.

Strahan tweeted his dinner invitation of “lobster AND caviar,” and said that he really would pay for it himself. He said:

‘ATTENTION @ClemsonFB: @michaelstrahan has a very important announcement for you! Should we expect to see you in Times Square for lobster AND caviar soon?’

Strahan invited the team for a “proper meal,” after Trump’s disappointing offering from fast-food chains. The GMA host said:

‘I would like to invite the Clemson Tigers football team here for a great meal. Lobster, whatever you want, we’re gonna take care of you. We’re gonna give you the proper meal that you deserve because that was one great game.’

The host formerly played defensive end for the New York Giants. He and the GMA production team considered what to serve the young men, and Strahan suggested “lobster is great.”

Rapper Quavo was also offended by the president’s paltry offering. He invited the team via Twitter to dinner to show POTUS “how champs are supposed to be treated.”
