The man who rose to political prominence by traveling the country telling people that “a very credible source” told him President Obama’s birth certificate was a fake is very concerned with inaccurate reporting these days. Pulling his victim card out and waving it around on Twitter, Trump went after the media once again after Mueller’s team of prosecutors issued a statement that certain details of the Buzzfeed story that hit the news on Friday were not accurately characterized.
Trump is probably not aware, since he doesn’t seem to be aware of much news reporting other than Fox News and TV tabloid reporting, but every actual legitimate news outlet has unintentionally reported things inaccurately. It happened to the two famous reporters from The Washington Post, Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, during their award-winning Watergate reporting. While Jeanine Pirro is not a real journalist, Trump would like folks to believe she is, and she recently had to retract a report that Nancy Pelosi was vacationing in Puerto Rico during the government shutdown.
The current president, in the meantime, tells lies on a daily basis and has never retracted or apologized for one of them. Even when he’s proven wrong, he doubles down and lies even more. Journalists do try to be accurate, but they’re human beings who make mistakes. Trump doesn’t even try.
Twitter was surprisingly unconcerned with poor Trump’s hurt feelings. After all, this is the same man who viciously attacks his opponents with repeated and even cruel lies every chance he gets. Read some of their comments below:
