No one is safe in a country with lax gun laws, let alone a country that idolizes destructive weapons as much as America does. Every day, a record number of people die from gun violence, and on Monday, it was police officers who took a sudden hit.
Five cops were shot in cold blood Monday evening while trying to serve a warrant on a suspect in Houston, Texas. Those five police officers were taken to area hospitals where at least two of them are in critical condition.

CBS News reported:
“It is not immediately clear what led to the shooting. SWAT officers and federal agents — including Houston’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) — have responded to the scene.”

A total of three suspects hit the officers with a barrage of bullets, leading to five injured cops and two dead suspects. Police are now deploying a robot to make sure no one else is barricaded in the house.
