Donald Trump sounded unhappy in his morning tweets about Starbucks’ owner Howard Schultz seriously considering running as an independent in the 2020 presidential election. It would likely steal votes from the Democratic candidate, so he should be happy. Then, his tweets turned from defending his tariffs that are crushing the U.S. economy to students’  mandatory studying of the Bible. What is Trump up to?

Remember, this is the guy who called Corinthians II, “Corinthians Two” instead of “Second Corinthians. He certainly wants people looking away from his 40-year-friendship with the dirty trickster, Roger Stone and the Russia investigation. He tweeted:

‘Tariffs on the “dumping” of Steel in the United States have totally revived our Steel Industry. New and expanded plants are happening all over the U.S. We have not only saved this important industry, but created many jobs. Also, billions paid to our treasury. A BIG WIN FOR U.S.’

‘Numerous states introducing Bible Literacy classes, giving students the option of studying the Bible. Starting to make a turn back? Great!’

‘Howard Schultz doesn’t have the “guts” to run for President! Watched him on last night and I agree with him that he is not the “smartest person.” Besides, America already has that! I only hope that Starbucks is still paying me their rent in Trump Tower!’

Changes are that Trump has been desperately trying to change the subject from his horrendous government shutdown that cost the country $6 billion dollars. There is a book out called Everything Trump Touches Dies.

Never was there a truer title. Trump touched the government in a shutdown, and the pillars of the country’s foundation were shaken. He had his tariffs that are killing off farmers who supported him, but operate on a knife’s edge.

Twitter world went wild. Check out some of our favorites below:
