Donald Trump has once again fallen into his role of victim. Poor president, he just cannot get a break from the Democrats. Instead of leading the country, Trump has been spending his time binge-watching Fox News and tweeting about himself. His latest tweet was cold.
The commander-in-chief read that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had commented on the upcoming State of the Union (SOTU) “speech.” Most people refer to the presidential speech to the nation as an “address.” Regardless, Trump attacked Schumer for not winning the Senate in this tweet:
‘I see Schumer is already criticizing my State of the Union speech, even though he hasn’t seen it yet. He’s just upset that he didn’t win the Senate, after spending a fortune, like he thought he would. Too bad we weren’t given more credit for the Senate win by the media!’
Much of the president’s SOTU speech will sound familiar because significant portions are a repeat of last year’s points. Trump will likely to speak to his immigration agenda, and then he will hit up the American people for their blessing on his wall project. The man currently sitting in the Oval Office will demand billions of dollars for his steel or concrete wall along the U.S.’s southern border with Mexico.
In addition, Trump wants to stop H.I.V. by 2030. He wants to offer the Democrats a bone in trade for his wall. That would be a “legislative solution” for the Dreamers, according to The New York Times. These are children of immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally with no criminal records.
Then, POTUS plans to call for unity, at least that is what will be placed in his prompter. Trump has never expressed or shown any interest in a united population or government.
