Well, it happened again. Donald Trump has been told, including by expert scientists in the field, what the difference between weather and climate is. Still, he took to Twitter on Sunday to once again push his ignorance on his supporters, who have so far been willing to eat up every word.
Let’s be clear: Trump knows by now what the difference between weather and climate is. He repeats this nonsense about the day being cold or about snow because he believes his supporters are stupid enough to see what he says as a legitimate reason to ignore scientific evidence on climate change. So far, it’s still working.
If Trump’s goal with the tweet was to make Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) look foolish, it was a massive failure. After the votes on healthcare and negotiations on funding for Trump’s border wall, however, massive failures are becoming the norm for him.
Trump, of course, whined some more about how mean Democrats are to him by not just rushing through his nominated candidates for important government positions, threw a bone to the Republicans on one of their favorite issues, school choice (a more palatable way to say “defunding public schools”), and then bragged about CNN proving him right on Syria (they didn’t, U.S. control of ISIS territory has only been possible because U.S. troops were there to ensure it and Trump is pulling them out of the area), but it’s his tweet on Klobuchar’s day of candidacy announcement that will be remembered and mocked.
Twitter certainly won’t let Trump forget this one. Read some of their comments below:
