Despite what Trump tells us constantly — that he’s the best “president” the world has ever seen, that everything he does is “well-received” and that those who disagree are liars spreading “fake news” — his overall approval rating has been plummeting, reaching a record-breaking low during the month of January 2019.

According to Morning Consult:

‘In the latest data from Morning Consult’s Trump Tracker, which measures the president’s approval rating in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, a record low of 40 percent of voters approved of Trump and a record-high 55 percent disapproved, resulting in the worst monthly net rating of his presidency.

‘Trump’s January approval was worst in the nation’s capital, the seat of the federal government he shut down over his proposed wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. Eighty-one percent of Washingtonians disapproved of the president, while 16 percent approved.’

This news should come as no surprise to most sane people. After all, we’ve just come through the longest government shutdown in history, and will likely face another one starting February 15th if our so-called “president” doesn’t get his way with this ridiculous border wall he’s insisting on. But, for some strange (narcissistic) reason, Trump is in complete denial that he might be doing a bad job. In fact, he usually can’t wait to tell us how great he is on a daily basis. It’s not hard to find examples of his delusion on Twitter, but here’s one for you, just in case you don’t subscribe to his favorite form of crazy:

Morning Consult’s poll also reflected that Trump’s approval rating among his base was still at 83 percent, but that percentage among his biggest fans is lower than it’s been in months, and after Trump’s State of the Union Address, even the conservative-leaning Rasmussen Poll agrees:

T’he Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.

‘These findings include the first full night of surveying following the president’s State of the Union speech to Congress.

‘The latest figures include 37% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 42% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -5.’

We expect Trump to deny most negative polls, but because he likely follows the ones that normally lean in his favor, it will be almost impossible for him to deny the one from Rasmussen. He’s probably having one of his “I’m president and you’re not” pout fests as we speak.
