Trump Spirals Into Tuesday Night Twitter Meltdown & Gets Mocked Hard

Mr. Trump campaigned in El Paso, Texas, on Monday night, using it as an opportunity to make a case for a border wall. The president has given the false assumption that there is an emergency crisis at the border, which is actually far from the truth.

On Tuesday afternoon, he jumped on Twitter boasting that he is going to get $23 million for border security. Trump has asked Congress for $23 billion next fiscal year to fund construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border as well as other border and immigration-enforcement measures.

Trump doesn’t care about the actual facts surrounding the border wall including the fact that this is not how most illegal immigration happens. He only cares about wasting taxpayer money to pull off a political stunt that pleases his racist base.

Twitter was quick to point out the insanity of it all:

On Monday, the White House released a preview of Mr. Trump’s budget for the 2019 fiscal year, outlining the president’s priorities. Specifically, Trump wants $18 million for the construction of additional border barriers and funding to hire another 750 U.S. border agents.

Trump stated in his request:

‘The Budget reflects my Administration’s serious and ongoing commitment to fully secure our border, take the fight to criminal gangs like MS-13, and make our immigration system work for Americans.’

The president has also asked for funding for immigration enforcement. According to azcentral:

‘The document also calls for $571 million to hire 2,000 new Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, in line the administration’s goals to hire 10,000 over the next few years.

‘The administration is also asking for $40 million to hire new immigration judges, in an effort to address a 650,000-case backlog, as well as $40 million to hire 338 new ICE attorneys to help prosecute and expedite removals from the U.S.’
