Today is the one-year anniversary of the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, one of the worst mass shootings in American history. President Trump has already tweeted his usual rants about how mistreated he is, but has yet to say anything about the 17 people who were brutally hunted and slaughtered one year ago today.
President Obama, however, woke up with those kids on his mind. Like most liberals, the victims have likely been on his mind every day for about a week, ahead of the upcoming anniversary.
Men like Obama are able to have compassion for others because they are not so self-absorbed that they do nothing but plop down in front of Fox News and call it work. Obama read every single intel report, whereas Trump is known to have the attention span of a toddler, and can’t keep up with the verbiage used.
The men are incomparable.
Check out what Obama just tweeted for the victims:
In the year since their friends were killed, the students of Parkland refused to settle for the way things are and marched, organized, and pushed for the way things should be – helping pass meaningful new gun violence laws in states across the country. I'm proud of all of them.
