There was no doubt that Donald Trump’s personal lawyer and “fixer” would implicate Trump in lies and criminal acts, which everyone knew would happen because his opening statement was released ahead of time. There was also no doubt that the president’s sons would go on endless rants on social media the entire time to try to convince the public that Cohen is a liar.

His main criticism seems to be that Democrats scheduled this testimony during Trump’s visit to Vietnam with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. However, Cohen’s public testimony was announced well before the date of Trump’s visit was announced. This isn’t about undermining the president, it’s about the American people learning the truth about the man in the White House.

Eric was gleefully posting about Cohen going to prison, but never acknowledged that some of Cohen’s charges include campaign finance violations, which he’s already provided taped conversations of Trump directing Cohen to make illegal payments to Trump’s mistress, Stormy Daniels, to protect him during the elections.

Cohen also testified in front of Congress on Monday that Donald Trump, Jr. signed checks to reimburse Cohen for those payments, which is proof that Junior was also aware of those illegal payments, and said that since the payments were issued from the Trump Organization, all three of Trump’s children had to be aware of them.
Eric Trump can throw his tantrums on Twitter, but it doesn’t change the fact that the entire Trump family is implicated in crimes. Cohen will serve three years in prison for one of those crimes; the Trumps should be forced to join him.
